A driver is facing charges following a motor vehicle collision in the Township of Perth East.
In the early hours of Jan. 23, 2025, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision.
As a result of the investigation, 20-year-old Nikhil Batta of London was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Operation while Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code
- Have Care or Control of a Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act 2017
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on March 3rd, 2025.
