Police say suspicious male seen again entering backyards at night

The Stratford Police Service says it is continuing to investigate concerns regarding a suspicious person in the area of Bradshaw Drive and Briarhill Drive.

An initial report of a suspicious person was received on July 2 at 3:30 a.m. when the subject was observed walking between homes and in backyards on Bradshaw Drive, police said in a news release.

Police received a second report of the male on July 3 at 2:30 a.m. when he was observed in backyards and looking into the windows of homes on Bradshaw Drive.

On both occasions it is believed he left the area through backyards onto Briarhill Drive, police said.

Police said the person is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s. On both occasions he was wearing red plaid pyjama pants, and a black hoody with white lettering on the sleeves and back.

He had the hood up on the sweater and was not wearing any shoes or socks.

On the second occasion he was also wearing a medical face mask.

Stratford Police are asking that anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact them at 519-271-4141, or to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

The Stratford Police Service encouraged residents to ensure that they secure their home and property before heading to bed for the night in an effort to protect their homes, and to contact police immediately if and when suspicious activity is observed in their neighbourhood.
