Warriors, Lincolns look to keep up their winning ways

Irish seek first home-ice win, while Warriors look to sweep Stars in home-and-home

The Stratford Warriors are riding a wave of momentum heading into the weekend. 

The Warriors outlasted St. Thomas on Wednesday and took home a 3-2 win. Quinn Kipfer got the game-winning goal, while Carter Petrie and Zachary Schooley also scored in the win. Carter McDougall stopped 29 shots in the victory. 

The teams square off again when the Warriors host the Stars on Friday at the Allman Arena. 

Elsewhere in the Greater Ontario Hockey League, the St. Marys Lincolns remained undefeated on the season with a 4-1 win over the Sarnia Legionnaires Thursday night. The 8-0 Lincolns host the Elmira Sugar Kings Friday night at the Pyramid Centre. 

In the Ontario Super Hockey League, the Stratford Fighting Irish are in action against the Delhi Flames. Puck drop is 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Allman Arena. 

The Tavistock Braves get to enjoy the comforts of home this weekend, entertaining Hespeler Friday before welcoming Dorchester on Saturday. The Mitchell Hawks head to Kincardine Friday to take on the Bulldogs before heading to Mount Forest Saturday.
