Warriors and Fighting Irish win, while Lincs stay undefeated

The Stratford Warriors kept up their dominance over St. Thomas, the Fighting Irish picked up their first home win, and the St. Marys Lincolns just keep rolling along.

On Friday night, the Warriors rolled past St. Thomas 7-1. Cole Lewis scored twice and added two assists in the win. Quinn Kipfer, Colin Slattery, Zachary Schooley, Quinn Gavin-White, Dax Vader, and Rhyse Brown each had one goal to help Stratford to the win, while goaltender Chase Furlong stopped 32 of 33 shots in the win. 

Elsewhere, the St. Marys Lincolns improved to 9-0 on the season and remain the only undefeated team in the GOJHL. Ryan Cornfield, Owen Voortman, and Chase McQueen Spence, Jaden Lee and Luca Spagnola would get goals in the 6-3 win, while Lee and Spagnola both reached the 100 point mark in their junior careers.

The Lincolns lead the standings, while Stratford is right behind them at 9-1. 

The Stratford Fighting Irish got their first home win of the young Ontario Super Hockey League season. Christian Polillo, Cameron Strokes, Justin Murray, Graham Brulotte, and Cooper Leitch scored in the 5-1 win over Delhi. Goaltender Darren Smith stopped 27 shots in the victory, improving Stratford to 2-1 on the season.  

Jonathan tenHag and Ethan Scrimgeour got goals on Friday night, but Kincardine outlasted Mitchell as they won 3-2 in overtime. On Saturday Nathan Jewitt and Patrick Holloway both scored, and Ryan Gansevles got two goals as Mitchell would double up Mount Forest 4-2.

The Tavistock Braves suffered a 6-3 loss on Friday against Hespeler before being shutout 1-0 against Dorchester.
