Playoffs loom as teams exit holiday season

Warriors and Lincolns in action twice, while Fighting Irish seeks to put out Flames

Junior hockey action is set to resume after the holidays and teams shift into playoff positioning mode in ernest. 

The Stratford Warriors get back to it when they welcome the London Nationals at the Allman Arena Friday night. A single point separates the third-place Nationals and the fifth-place Warriors. Stratford then closed out the weekend when they travel to Listowel to take on the Cyclones Sunday. 

The St. Marys Lincolns host the Komoka Kings at the Pyramid Rec Centre Friday night, having swept all four games from Komoka this season. The Lincolns are back in action on Saturday when they head to Strathroy to take on the Rockets. 

In senior play, the Stratford Fighting Irish host Delhi Saturday night. Stratford (9-7-0-1-1) seeks its 10th of the season, while Delhi comes in with six wins on the year. 

The Tavistock Braves welcome Woodstock in PJHL action on Friday, while the Mitchell Hawks head to Wingham to take on the Ironmen. The Hawks then head to Goderich on Saturday for a meeting with the Flyers.
