NEWS RELEASE
ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE
***************************
A five-vehicle collision that occurred over the weekend resulted in the closure of a provincial highway for several hours.

On Feb. 7, members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a collision on Highway 23 (Perth Road 164) just north of Mitchell.

There were no injuries reported. No drivers were charged.

Highway 23 was closed for several hours while emergency services were investigating and coordinating with local tow services for vehicle removals. The highway has since reopened.

The OPP wants to remind all motorists to limit all unnecessary travel at times of reduced visibility due to weather conditions. If you are already on the roadways, please reduce your speed according to the conditions and always be aware of your surroundings.
