Three Toronto residents charged after theft from Listowel business

OPP say two of the suspects were arrested after a foot pursuit

Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged three individuals with multiple offences following a theft and foot pursuit.

On March 9th, 2025 Police observed two males exiting a local business in the town of Listowel with unpaid merchandise attempting to flee in a red Dodge pick-up truck. Police initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested the driver while the other two males fled on foot. Police engaged in a foot pursuit with the two males who were subsequently caught and arrested.

As a result of the investigation, three residents of East York, Ontario were charged with the Criminal Code offences of Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime:

All three individuals were released from custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on April 14th, 2025.

This investigation remains ongoing.
