An individual from Ingersoll is facing impaired driving-related charges after being observed by an officer on proactive patrol.
On March 21, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a member of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment was on general patrol in the area of 19th Line in the Township of Zorra, where a vehicle was stopped after it was observed to be driving erratically.
Jason Bleach, 46-years-old, of the Town of Ingersoll, has been charged with:
- Operation while Impaired - Alcohol
- Operation while Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
- Dangerous Operation
Additionally, the accused was charged under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with: Operate a motor vehicle without insurance.
A 90-day Administrative Driver's License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on April 15, 2025.
