The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is reminding the public of the online, streamlined process for anyone requesting criminal record checks.
As announced in 2020, anyone requesting a criminal record check within an OPP jurisdiction will have to complete and submit their application online.
Details to consider:
- payment by credit card is required
- the OPP does not accept criminal record check applications at their detachment locations
- rhe OPP can only accept and process criminal record checks for applicants that reside within OPP jurisdictions
- applicants can only apply for criminal record checks with the police service in the jurisdiction where they reside
