Ken Swan, age 73, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital, on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Born in London, son of the late William ‘Bruce’ and Carol (Partridge) Swan. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jan (Comley) Swan, his children Paul Swan (Fatime Spahiu) and Kelly Swan (fiancé Peggy Thompson). Ken adored his grandchildren Claire, Grant and Colin and happily welcomed Peggy’s children Aaron (fiancé Ryan), Leah and Ethan into his family.
A dedicated worker in the manufacturing sector, he was renowned for his unwavering willingness to help others. He found joy in his beloved dog ‘Sadie’, cherished listening to music, and loved spending peaceful moments by the Avon River. Above all, Ken was most at peace and happiest when surrounded by his family just as he was in his final days.
In addition to his immediate family, Ken leaves behind his brothers David Swan (Brenda) and Bruce Swan (Nora), brothers-in-law Wayne Dickson and Dan Horst, sisters-in-law Deb Comley-Horst (Bruce Thomas) and Sylvia Comley as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by his brother Barry in infancy, sister Bonnie Dickson, father-in-law Percy Comley, mother-in-law ‘Bunny’ Comley, brother-in-law Bruce Comley and sister-in-law Tammy Comley in infancy.
Ken’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Anne Martin and the entire staff of the third floor at the Stratford General Hospital for theiroutstanding care and compassion. In addition, the family wish to thank all friends and family for their support during this time
