It is with great sadness that our family announce the passing of Weldon at the age of 72. Weldon passed away suddenly after a family Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Weldon was born in Stratford July 1, 1952, and was the son of the late Erma Seip (Doering) and the late Peter Seip. Weldon was predeceased by his sister Karolyn (Ross) Richardson in 2023 and is survived by his sister Joanne (Wayne) Young, brother Bill (Jill) Seip and brother-in-law Ross Richardson. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews Scott (Betty Ann) Young, Greg Young, Kara Richardson, Roberta Richardson, Jane (Rob) Agar, Richard and Alex Seip and several great nieces and nephews.
Weldon’s happy place was sitting in his car alongside the Avon River or enjoying a family dinner. He liked to keep in touch with family and old friends. Weldon was a proud owner of several Corvettes, Camaros and Firebirds during his employment at Budd Automotive. He was also a successful salesman with Filter Queen and Wayne Gould Insulation.
Visitation for friends and family will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery.
