Terrence Michael McClean passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on November 26th, 2024. He was born and raised in Stratford, Ontario.
Terrence was the beloved son of the late George and Sarah (Hamel) McClean. He was predeceased by his wife Helen (Teahen) in 2004, and his siblings John, Vincent, Leo, Cecelia, Eileen, and Mary.
Terrence is survived by his daughters Kim (Don) and Karen (Sylvain), and was a proud papa to Melanie (Rob), Jeremy (Natalie) Sarah (Wes), Sammy (Trav), and James (Izzy). He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Wesley, Abby, Isabelle, Freddie, Heath and Hugh.
Terrence devoted many years to his career with the Perth County Board of Education and he was a dedicated volunteer at Stratford General Hospital, a role he truly enjoyed. A wonderful father and papa, Terrence loved spending time with family and friends. He had a unique ability to celebrate every occasion with joy and with an artistic flair. His vibrant spirit made him the life of every gathering. Known for his positivity, kindness, and generosity, he touched the lives of all who knew him. Terrence will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered for his jokes, laughter and for making us all feel so special.
Visitation for friends and family will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, November 30, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the Reception Centre of the W.G. Young Funeral Home.
