It's a full weekend of pre-Christmas action on the ice, starting with Friday night action at the Allman Arena.

Startford welcomes the LaSalle Vipers to town for a 7:30 p.m. showdown; the Vipers have taken two of three meetings from the Warriors this season. Stratford then head to Waterloo on Sunday to clash with the Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins.

The St. Mary's Lincolns are also in action on Friday night when they host the Siskins at the Pyramid Recreation Centre as they look to better their 20-6-1 record this year.

The Stratford Fighting Irish will begin the post-coach Jamie Petrie era on Saturday, Dec. 21, when they face off against the Elora Rocks in Stratford. The team's associate coaches will be running the Irish bench, as the team stated they are still sorting out their coaching options for the remainder of the season. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

In the Provincial Junior Hockey League this weekend, the Mitchell Hawks will take on Wingham on Friday, while Tavistock will host Hespeler. Then on Saturday Tavistock hosts Woodstock, while Mitchell is in Walkerton to take on the Capitals. Sundays sees Mitchell in Kincardine to take on the Bulldogs, while Tavistock takes on Paris.
