In what is shaping up as a busy weekend for local hockey teams, the Stratford Warriors kick off their action when they host the Komoka Kings on Friday at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Warriors make a return trip to Chatham to take on the Maroons, who they just lost a 2-1 decision to on Sunday in Chatham.
It'll be two games in two days for the St. Marys Lincolns, as they head to St. Thomas to clash with the Stars on Friday before crossing Perth County for their first game against the defending Sutherland Cup champion Listowel Cyclones. This marks the first time since the Cyclones' 4-3 overtime win in Game 5 of the finals back on May 12; the teams will meet again November 22 in Listowel before the Lincs get to welcome the Cyclones to the Pyramid Centre on December 12.
