It’s a Halloween bash like no other. Coming up on October 29 is the annual Pursuit Climbing Halloween party.

“The party also marks our second anniversary of operation,” said owner Cole Johnson. “We are an indoor rock climbing gym right here in Stratford.”

The Halloween bash will feature a DJ from 7-10 p.m., lights, and of course a costume contest.

“We encourage everyone to come dressed up,” said Johnson. “Everyone who comes in costume can take a picture of themselves in the gym, for a chance to win a month membership.”

With costumes and an activity like climbing, safety has to be top of mind.

“There should be some caution taken with the costume you wear to the climbing gym,” said Johnson. “Use common sense, make sure you have full mobility and when climbing make sure you take off any masks you are wearing.”

Last year the local business did a barbeque celebration, but the weather didn’t cooperate, so they decided to combine the anniversary and Halloween party.

The event which will be held at Pursuit Climbing located at 615 Erie Street costs $10 for non-gym-members, $7 for gym members or $30 which includes all rentals. More details about the Halloween bash and Pursuit Climbing can be found on their website.
