Today, Matthew Rae, Member of Provincial Parliament for Perth-Wellington, applauded the Huron Perth Ontario Health Team and local Family Health Teams for the launch of their Unattached Care Clinic.

The Government of Ontario is supporting this important initiative to provide more primary care locally via a $822,604 investment, announced earlier this year.

“Our government launched the first ever expansion in inter-primary care teams since their inception. We are committed to ensuring everyone in Ontario has access to primary care close to home," said Rae. “I will continue to advocate for more investments in our public health-care system that positively impact our rural communities.”

The launch of the new unattached care clinic by the Huron Perth and Area Ontario Health Team means residents without doctors now have access to primary health care. This investment was part of a larger province wide investment of $110 million to connect up to 328,000 people to a primary care.
