In the Week 8 power rankings for the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Stratford Warriors find themselves on the outside looking in.
After spending a number of weeks in the top five rankings, the Warriors fell out of the top five despite an 11-5 record on the season. They are only 5-5 over their last ten games, but three of the top five teams in the GOJHL power rankings sit behind the Warriors in the standings.
Meanwhile the St. Marys Lincolns remain in the top spot with a 14-1 record. The team has allowed only 20 goals this entire season, and has been in the top of the power rankings the last few weeks. The Ayr Centennials (12-3) sit in second place and are the only GOJHL team with a perfect home record and are 9-1 over their last 10.
Fort Erie, Strathroy and the London Nationals round out the top five.
Stratford will have a chance to climb back up the rankings this week with two games this week: they host the defending Sutherland Cup champion Listowel Cyclones Frday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. before hitting the road to take on the Chatham Maroons Sunday, Nov. 10. The Lincolns host Strathroy Friday night at the Pyramid Centre (7:30 p.m. puck drop) before starting a five-game road trip next week in Lasalle.
