Woolwich seniors killed today in crash on Perth Road 121

Occupants of passenger vehicle, 75 and 76, die in collision with commercial vehicle, police say

PERTH EAST - Two people have died following a motor vehicle collision in the Township of Perth East Wednesday afternoon.

On Nov. 6, just before 3:30 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Perth County Paramedic Services, and the Perth East Fire Department, responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Perth Road 121, at the intersection of Line 67. A passenger vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle had collided.

Two occupants of the passenger vehicle, a 75-year-old and 76-year-old, both from Woolwich, were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the commercial motor vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team are assisting Perth County OPP with the investigation.

The area of Perth Road 121 between Perth Line 72 and Line 67 remains closed for the protection of emergency responders and to facilitate the investigation, and will likely be closed for a number of hours.
