Vehicle stolen from Waterloo Region found during traffic stop in Mitchell

One person has been charged following a traffic stop in the Municipality of West Perth.

Just after 1 a.m. on July 10, 2024, a member of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Quebec Street, Mitchell. During the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Waterloo Region. The driver was arrested, and during a search of the vehicle, weapons were located.

Adam Mosher, 32, of Wallaceburg, has been charged with:

  • possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • failure to comply with release order - other than attend court
  • possession of an identity document
  • fraudulent concealment
  • altering/destroying/removing a vehicle identification number

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
