STRATFORD POLICE SERVICE

On Oct. 15 at 5 a.m., the Stratford Police Service and Perth County Paramedic Services responded to an incident within a residence on Ontario Street in Stratford.
On arrival, Stratford Police located a 35-year-old female, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.
She was transported to Stratford General Hospital where she later died from her injury.
A 41-year-old male located at the scene was arrested and later charged by the Stratford Police. He is scheduled to appear in bail court today.
Stratford Police would like to assure the public that this is an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety.
