Cops, firefighters faceoff for charity

Oct. 20 Battle of the Badges is in support of Victim Services Huron Perth

Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will once again take on the Perth County Fire Services for another 'Battle of the Badges' - for charity.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex, police officers and firefighters will battle it out in a "friendly" hockey game. Members of Perth County OPP will face off against members of the Perth County Fire Departments in support of Victim Services Huron Perth.

Prior to the game, the public can enjoy a complimentary public skate from 12 until 1 p.m., sponsored by the Perth County Auto Theft Prevention Team.

Admission is by cash donation or non-perishable food item, which will go directly to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

Perth County OPP Auxiliary Unit will also be on hand collecting non-perishable items for the Salvation Army Food Bank.
