Paris Jewellers in Festival Marketplace robbed Wednesday night

Police arrest four suspects while fifth remains at large

On Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at 6 p.m. the Stratford Police Service received multiple 911 calls regarding a smash and grab robbery at Paris Jewellers, located within the Stratford Mall, located at 1067 Ontario Street, in the City of Stratford.

Police were informed that five suspects had entered the mall and committed the robbery before fleeing in a white Honda CRV, which was observed travelling east out of the City of Stratford.

An unknown amount of product was stolen in the robbery and one employee suffered minor injuries during the incident.

A BOLO with the information regarding the suspects was sent to neighbouring police services, including the OPP and Waterloo Regional Police Service.

Shortly before 7 p.m. the Stratford Police Service was notified by the OPP that the vehicle had been located at the Sunrise Shopping Centre, in the City of Kitchener, and arrested four of the five suspects. Waterloo Regional Police Service also assisted with conducting a search of the area for the outstanding suspect.

The four arrested parties have been transported to Stratford Police Headquarters where they are being held in custody for a bail hearing.

The Stratford Police Service would like to thank the OPP and Waterloo Regional Police Service for the assistance provided in this matter. Thanks is also being sent out to the staff members and witnesses for the information provided, which led to the quick arrest of these suspects.
