NORTH PERTH - One person has been charged in relation to a fraud investigation in the Municipality of North Perth.
On Jan. 27, 2025, members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation after receiving information that a company was defrauded of over $50,000 by a former employee.
As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Torie Machan of Monkton, Ont. was charged with:
• Fraud Over $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Machan is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on March 10, 2025.
