NORTH PERTH - An individual was charged with multiple criminal offences following a traffic complaint involving a snowmobile in the Municipality of North Perth.
On Feb. 2, 2025 members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on a snowmobile. While investigating the traffic complaint, the OPP received additional information that the accused had sexually assaulted a youth.
The OPP located the 31-year-old resident of Brussels who was charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous operation
- Sexual interference.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Stratford on February 24th, 2025.
