AURORA — Police north of Toronto have charged an 82-year-old man in a sexual assault on a 12-year-old girl.
York regional police say the girl was at a restaurant in Aurora, Ont., last Thursday and went to use a public washroom.
They say she was sexually assaulted by a man inside the washroom.
Police say the suspect was found in Newmarket, Ont., on Saturday morning.
The suspect is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference, a charge that relates to the sexual touching of someone under 16.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
