Passed away peacefully at Coleman Care Centre on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the age of 89. Beloved husband and best friend to Jan for 30 years. Proud father of Gary (Laura), Sherry (Jeff), and Michael. Dear grandfather of Holly, Collin, and great-grandfather of Nova. Loving brother of David (Marlene), Wayne (Shirley) and Paul (Chris). He will be fondly remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as Jan’s family.
Ron cherished special memories at the family cottage near Parry Sound. He and his wife enjoyed travelling to Mexico for many winters until he could no longer make the journey. A passionate hockey fan, he loved rooting for his favourite teams, and for ten years held season tickets for the Barrie Colts. After selling the cottage, Ron and his wife enjoyed life in Sandycove Acres, Innisfil, as well as their interest in the antique business.
