Joseph Patrick Whalen, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2025. Born in Sussex, New Brunswick, son of the late Vincent and Eva (Lewis) Whalen.
Predeceased by his wife Theresa (Padacz) in 1981. Father of Patrick Whalen. Brother to Wayne (Jessie), Timothy – deceased, Joan Smith (Verne), Carol Lease, Jan Little, Ann Thistle – deceased, David – deceased, Brenda Whalen, Barbara McKone (Michael Wood), Angela Whalen. Brother-in-law of Stan Padacz (Nancy), Rose Padacz (David), Peter Padacz. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Family and friends are invited to Joseph’s funeral service at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, January 22, at 1 p.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery. Memorial donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to the CNIB Guide Dogs. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
