Nicholas Gerard Stevers, age 18, of Perth East, passed away in a tragic snowmobile accident on January 26, 2025.

Nicholas leaves behind his deeply loving parents Michael and Kathy Stevers and his beloved six younger siblings: Julianne, Martina, Eric, Charlene, Daniel, and Benjamin.

He is predeceased by his grandmother Margaretha Stevers, and survived by his loving grandparents George and Marylynn Stevers and Martin and Kathy Benjamins.

He will be deeply missed by his aunts and uncles: Maryann (Patrick) Brown, Veronica Stevers, Matthew (Julie) Stevers, Christopher Stevers, Tinie Benjamins, Jeanie (Lawrence) Drost, Marty (Wendy) Benjamins, Marcy (Chad) VanReenen, Angie (Kris) Ellison, Tim (Christina) Benjamins, Betty (Jamie) Schouten, Gerdie (Rick) Deen, Amy (Joe) Mosterman, Christy (Kyle) Sebben, Jackie (Kevin) Deboer, Joe (Sonia) Saunders, Angela Saunders, Brian (Femke) Saunders, Tim Saunders, Fr. Jeremy Saunders; as well as by his many cousins.

He will be especially missed by his great uncle and aunt Frank and Jane Stevers and his close friends Josh, Joe, Martin, Gus, Kaleb, Joe, Matteo, Harry, Jake, Charles, Dylen, and Jordan.

Nicholas was a good young man and will be sorely missed. He was known for his big smile, his friendliness to all, and his always-ready jokes. He always cheered up his environment and was always ready to help. His faith was very important to him and he understood and took to heart that his goal was heaven.

His great zeal for farming and love for tractors was known to all. He was always eager to repair anything. He said that the two places he wanted to visit were Heaven and Holland. He loved his family and friends and was always a listening ear. He loved to talk with anyone who would stop by. He will deeply missed. We love you.

Visitation for friends and family will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, January 31, from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Stratford Rotary Complex Halls, 353 McCarthy Road, Stratford on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kinkora followed by a reception back at the Stratford Rotary Complex Halls.
