Ronald Philip Soeder, age 83, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Beloved husband of Sylvia Soeder (nee Cummings). Loved father of Deborah Soeder of Stratford, Catherine Gilkinson (George McClory) of Thorhild, Alberta, Brenda Elliott (Gary Breitenbach) of Stratford and Steven Soeder (Luba) of Sarnia.
Dear brother of Edward Soeder (Shirley) of Stratford and Shirley Brown of RR#6 Goderich. Dear brother-in-law of Bob Cummings (Alva). Also survived by his grandchildren; Samantha (Mark), Lisa, Scott, Jack (Melodie), Mark (Danielle), Alex and Zory. Great grandchildren Kaydence, Brooklyn, Colton, Lyla and Wyatt and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Aldin “Bing” and Anne Soeder (nee May), brother-in-law Don Brown, sister-in-law Barb Richardson (Ray) and daughter-in-law Jeanette Soeder (nee De Groot).
Ron enjoyed camping, cards, many years in Scouting and volunteering in his church.
Visitation at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am with Rev. Keith Reynolds officiating. A private family interment in Avondale Cemetery will follow a public reception at the funeral home.
