Richard Sinko, age 84 of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on October 24, 2024. Born in Skakovci, Slovenia September 10, 1940 son of the late Karel and Anna Sinko.
Predeceased by his 1st wife Karoline Sinko. He is the beloved husband of Marija (Morcic). Father of Robert Sinko and Grandfather to Emma Sinko. He will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Anton Sinko and wife Elizabeth, Frederick Sinko, Ludmila Voros and husband Stefan all from Stratford, France, Josef Sinko and wife Veronica, Kristina Berden and husband Stefan. Paula Jovic, Maria Bence all of Slovania.
Richard was employee of Fram in Stratford until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing in his spare time at the Stratford Municipal Golf Course where he made many friends. He was a kind-hearted soul and very thoughtful of others. He spent the last few years of his life at West Perth Village in Mitchell. The staff there will definitely miss his humour, he liked to joke around with them. We would like to thank the staff at the nursing home for caring for him as well as the Doctors and nurses at Stratford General Hospital. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice through the funeral home.
