John Schenck, age 68, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Born in Stratford, son of the late Lloyd Schenck and the former Betty Roegele.
He is survived by brother Robert (Debra); sister-in-law Patti Solose; nieces and nephews: Danny, Melissa, Jason, Ashley and David. John is predeceased by his grandparents George and Edna Roegele, John and Anna Schenck, brother George and nephew Trevor.
John was employed at Kroehler Manufacturing and for over 25 years at Schaeffler Canada.
Back in the day he owned a 1974 Chevy Nova and rode motorcycles. He spent his younger years at his families trailer in Port Elgin. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and many a day he could be found in front of a screen watching his favourite sports teams.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 5-8 pm in the Reception Centre of the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, July 10 in Avondale Cemetery (Section 23B) at 11 am.
