Judith Louise Riordon, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Rotary Hospice surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 18, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, daughter of the late James Ambrose and Grace (Hayes) Hamilton. Judy was predeceased by the love of her life John Rankin Riordon (February 27, 2023) after 58years. Loving mother of Darlene (Roger) Schmidt, Kimberly Riordon, Kevin Riordon (Sandra Braga). Best grandmother to Kyle (Jill), Kaitlyn (Steve), Kristen (Jackson), Shelby (Billy), Tyler, Ashley (Mark), Sydney (Dylan) and Serena. Great Grandmother to Morgan, Benjamin, Aubrey and Ryker. Judy will be fondly remembered by her siblings Johnny Hamilton, Greta Jackson, Wally (Marg) Hamilton and her in-laws Catherine Fox, Joseph Riordon, David Riordon (Kathy) and her many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to sincerely thank Kaileigh and Paisley, mom was so proud to have the special bond with you. To Erica from Helping Hands, you kept mom so comfortable at home, and to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at LHSC- University Hospital and to Victoria Hospital Cancer Clinic you are all amazing. And a huge thank you to the nurses and volunteer staff at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth, again thank you from the bottom of our hearts you are all so special and you treated mom with such care and dignity. Mom was also so fortunate to have many close friends that helped her out.
Besides her parents and her husband John, Judy was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law Pearl (Crandlemire) and Rankin Riordon siblings Marie (Alison) Hartley, Margaret (James) Jaques, Burton Hamilton, Arthur Hamilton, Lewis (Margaret) Hamilton, Mary (Alison) Duffield and her in-laws Audrey Hamilton, Bob Jackson and Olan Fox.
Family and Friends are invited to Judy’s visitation on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the W. G. Young Funeral Home. 430 Huron St, Stratford, ON. Judy’s funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24 at 2:00 pm., at the funeral home.
