Bud passed away at West Perth Village, Mitchell on Tuesday evening March 11, 2025.
Bud is survived by his sister Donna Price (John), his nieces and nephews, Bev Sokol (Ed), Betty Gropp, Kim Price and Rob Price. And is lovingly remembered by Evelyn’s daughters, Tina Gray and Terrie Robson.
He is predeceased by his wife the former Evelyn Ruth McLeod. She left us June 2024. He is also predeceased by his parents, Robert and Dorothy (Nowack) Quipp and his siblings, Grace Clowes (Harry), Daisy Gropp (Lorne)and Dick Quipp.
Bud held many jobs during his early working years. He was a hardworking guy and never out of a job for long. He told us about building the pillars at the main Stratford Festival Stage, he sold the first Honda car in Stratford. He loved his cars, he loved his motorcycles, he repaired antique clocks, he had his pilot’s licence for small aircraft and also flew model airplanes and at one time, he had a boat at Wildwood. He moved from hobby to hobby. He also loved his Toronto Professional Sports Teams. Go Leaf’s; Go Jays.
He was extremely proud of starting his own business. He was a successful Canadian entrepreneur. He operated Bud’s Complete Radiator Services for many years. He also enjoyed the coffee group on Corcoran Avenue where he had his shop. It was a daily habit
After selling the business, he drove vehicles between dealerships and to customers for Stricklands. He was always available on demand. He understood good business practices and he loved driving the newer cars.
The family will celebrate Bud’s life at W.G. Young Funeral Home (Reception Centre), 430 Huron St, Stratford, on Thursday March 20th from 3 pm to 5pm. All are welcome. There will be words of remembrance at 4 pm.
Bud will be cremated and laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery Milverton at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice through the funeral home.
