PORTER: James George "Jim" - passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Maples Home For Seniors, Tavistock. James "Jim" Porter of North Easthope in his 89th year.
Dear brother of Jean & husband Byron Morris of Mitchell. Sadly missed by his neices and nephews Todd & Pearl Fawcett, Nancy & Kevin Eaton, Glen & Shannon Morris, Dale Morris and by several great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents George & Christina (McCallum) Porter and sister Florence Fawcett.
Jim was a long time member of the North Easthope Pipe Band and was active in local hockey, softball and Junior Farmers. He was a member and served on the Board of Managers of the Knox North Easthope Presbyterian Church.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St. N. Tavistock on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:00am unitl 12 noon followed by the Funeral Service in the chapel at 12:00pm. Reception to follow. Spring interment in St, Andrews Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
