It is with profound sadness and much love that we announce the unexpected passing of Sandra May Meadows, age 72, of RR#2 St. Pauls, on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Stratford General Hospital.

Cherished mother of Rachelle (Jay), Trish (Derek), Scott (Courtney), and Mark (Lindsay). Adored stepmother of Todd (Parneeta), Tammy (Garret) and Tina (Mike). Treasured grandmother of Brayden, Jacob, Maggie, Emaline, Addison, Nash, Stella, Kieran, Brynlee, Harpur, Xander, Asher, Nova, Arlie, Blake, Carter, Trent and Rylee. Survived by brother Larry (Deb) and Sharon (Peter) and predeceased by brother Lonni (Joanne). Also survived by mother-in-law Erma (Baer) Meadows and siblings-in-law Philip (Cathy), Will (Nancy), Stephen (Angela), and Pearl (Al). She will also be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends.

Sandra’s greatest joy was found in her family, and she built a foundation of love that fostered deep connections among her husband, children and grandchildren. Every one of them felt her love and each has a special relationship, with treasured memories of distinctive experiences with her. Sandra and Ralph were inseparable and shared a deeply loving and powerful bond. They enjoyed working on their home and property together, going on “tours”, date nights, spending time with friends and many trips to the US. Ralph lovingly remembers how she “Sandified” the farm when they began living together.

They recently enjoyed adventures to Alaska and Utah together. Sandra cherished her time with her children and grandchildren and especially took great pleasure in watching them play sports and perform during their activities. Among her many interests, Sandra had a great passion and flair for decorating and loved to create decor projects for her home and for others. Her kindness and compassion were felt by all who knew and loved her. Sandra’s compassionate spirit and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Sandra's unexpected passing has left a void in our hearts, but her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us all. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, laughter, and unwavering strength.

A private family funeral service will be held at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, followed by cremation. A public celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at the Army, Navy & Airforce Veterans Hall, 151 Lorne Avenue East, Stratford, on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1 – 5 pm.
