Marie Lamondin (Lalonde) age 86 of Stratford, born and raised in Britt, Ontario, passed away suddenly at London University Hospital on January 14, 2025.
Beloved wife of the late Russell Lamondin who predeceased her in 2012. Mother of Dale (Betty), Daniel – deceased, Rose Marie – deceased, Jeff (Sherry), Russ (Jenn). Grandmother of Dale, Karrie, Megan, Adam, Lucas (Evelyn), Josie (Mike), JD. She will be missed by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and her dog Baylea will miss her terribly as they had a special bond.
Dear sister of Raymond (Jeanette) Lalonde, Theresa (Billy - deceased) Ambeau, Rita Lamirante - deceased (Rene - deceased). Sister-in-law of Ruby, Suzanne, Valerie (Dan) and Judy. Predeceased by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Leona (Bill), Romeo, Murray, Wally, Janice and Diane (Jimmy).
Mom always enjoyed her family, whether it was playing cards, dice, indoor or outdoor games. She was always the life of the party, with her glass of water in hand. There was never a dull moment with her in the room. She would always put a smile on your face with her dance moves or singing along to old time country music. She had a gentle caring soul who lived life to the fullest with love and selflessness by putting everyone first. Her laugh was infectious, and you couldn’t help but join in. Story telling was always a passion and turned into smiles and laughter. Our mother, our GG, our sister, our aunt, our friend will be missed immensely.
Friends and family are invited to Holy Family Catholic Church, Britt, Ontario on Saturday, May 24, where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment at Britt Community Cemetery. Memorial donations in Marie’s memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Holy Family Catholic Church, Britt.
