Edward Calvin Hodgson, age 91, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Stratford General Hospital.
Born in Drumbo Ontario, son of the late G. Frederick and Dorothy (Davis) Hodgson. Predeceased by his true love and best friend Isabell (McNeelands) Hodgson after 57 years of marriage in 2012.
Loving father of Brad (Donna) Hodgson and Bonnie (Ken) Belfall. Grandfather of Dallas (Rebecca), Chantal (Nate), Karen (Brendan), Allison (Mo) and great grandchildren Ryder, Max, Cooper and Nathan. Cal will be remembered by his sister-in-law Pat Hodgson and his friend Grace Hicks, along with his many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and his parents, Cal was predeceased by his brother David Hodgson.
Our family thanks all of Cal’s friends and the staff at McCarthy Place Residence where he lived for the last six years. Thanks also to the nursing staff in the Medicine Unit at Stratford Hospital.
