Lenore Ellen Gatschene, a resident of Woodland Towers, Stratford, born September 6, 1925, in Stratford, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, in her 100th year. Daughter of the late Earl Stanley Zinn and Clara Marie Pringle.
Beloved wife of the late Donald Leo Gatschene who predeceased her on July 22, 2009, the day of their 59th wedding anniversary. Mother of Brian and Mark Gatschene. Grandmother of Jennifer (David Horenberg) and Nikki (Joshua Smidts). Great Grandmother of Olivia and Levi Horenberg, Caleb and Luca Smidts. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings and in-laws both living and deceased, as well as nieces, nephews and their families.
Our deepest gratitude to all the staff at Woodland Towers, Stratford. The exceptional care and kindness as Lenore began her chapter without Donald did not pass without recognition. Also a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Victoria Hospital, London in her final days. Norni, Grandma, GG was independent to the very end, with only ever a little help from all that cared for her.
A private family graveside service will be held at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. Memorial donations in Lenore’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
