Samuel James Eidt, age 82, of Stratford passed away at Stratford General Hospital on November 1, 2024. Predeceased by his wife Karen (Fisher). Sam is survived and lovingly remembered by his son Steven and wife Michelle, and son Jason. Loving and fun grandpa to Jessica, Spencer, and Harrison. Sam will be greatly missed by his best friend Marjorie McEwen. Dear brother of Kathryn Nagle, Joan Rohfritsch, David (Joyce) Eidt, Bill (Joyce) Eidt, Nancy Martin, Susan Chessell, Ruth (Kenton) Ehgoetz, Mary Jane (Kevin) Runhart, Allan (Lisa) Eidt, and Doug (Julie) Eidt. Lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law Joan Peck, and Mary Fisher, and by his many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and in-laws, Sam was predeceased by his brother-in-law Robert Nagle, Lorne Rohfritsch, Norman Chessell, John Martin, Jim Peck, and Gary Fisher.
The family would like to thank the staff at Stratford General Hospital, 3rd floor Stroke & Telemetry, for their care and compassion.
In keeping with Sam's wishes cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. Friends and family are invited to honour Sam with a celebration of his life on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at Sebringville Community Centre - 302 Huron Rd, Sebringville.
