It is with great sadness that Perry Jospeh Dubblestyne, age 67, of Williamsford, formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Chapman House Hospice on June 6, 2024, after suffering a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Maria Lalonde, and his daughters; Cassie (Larry) and Ashley (Ivan). Loving and adored grandpa of Brooklynn, Avalon, Ivey and Valen. Loving brother of Bev (Gary Brady), Brent (Evelyn) and Ken (Jennifer MacDonald). Dear brother-in-law of Rick (Shirley) and Mike of Florida. Perry will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Harvey and Gertie, his brothers Barry and Kevin, his sister-in-law Theresa, and his brother-in law, Edward.

Perry was born in Sudbury, Ontario. He moved with his family in 1964 to Stratford. As a young boy he had always been fascinated by machinery and so he followed in the footsteps of his father and brothers into the construction trades. He was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, local 793 and loved his work as a dedicated and respected crane operator. He was highly skilled and an in-demand crane operator that led him to work all across Canada. Perry was always willing to share his valued knowledge and was a mentor to many other apprentices.

When not at work you could find Perry and Maria at their home on McCullough Lake. He was kind, hardworking and compassionate about everything he did. He loved a good campfire (all seasons) and a glass of red wine. Perry told the best and most hilarious (long) stories and was often reminded by Maria to get to the point. He loved his life and everyone he met loved him. He had a smile that lit up a room. We all feel so lucky to have been part of his life. He always made you feel better about yourself and will be terribly missed by so many.
