Barbara Ann Buchanan, age 77, of Stratford passed away peacefully at Wildwood Care Centre, St. Marys on December 17, 2024. Born in Stratford, March 8, 1947, daughter of the late Edmund and Mary (Clark) Mayne.
Barbara volunteered at Hamlet School for many years and later worked as an Educational Assistant at Bedford School until her retirement. In retirement she continued to volunteer at Avon School.
Beloved wife of 54 years to Robert “Bob” Buchanan. Loving mother of Beth Buchanan, Cathie (Simon) Wheeldon. Grandmother of Etta Wheeldon. Sister of Mary McDowell (Rod). Sister-in-law of Arlene Schaller, Louise McAsh (Gary). Lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brother William Mayne, brothers-in-law Fred Schaller, Allen Buchanan and mother-in-law and father-in-law Eva and Weldon Buchanan.
