June 20, 1999 - February 22, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of our beloved son, Kyle Anthony Boersen who died in a snowmobile accident on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Kyle is the loving son of David Boersen, and Tina (Karkheck) Boersen (Kyle Rysdale). Brother of Eric (Leah), Andrew and Lukas. He will be forever remembered by his girlfriend Khloee. Grandparents Ann Boersen, Bill and Mary Jane Karkheck and Ann Kapp along with his many aunts, uncles and cousins of the Boersen and Karkheck families, will cherish all the wonderful times with Kyle.
Kyle will be reunited with his brother Jacob Boersen, his grandfather, Anthony Boersen and his beloved dog Mini.
Kyle was a third-generation farmer and proud of it! He was very interested in agriculture early on and was drawn towards cattle, were he enjoyed working with them on several farms. He eventually went to school in Alberta at Olds College, making many friends but his heart was in Perth County working on the family farm. He was always eager to take on challenges because he thought he could do it better. He took over most of the planting and was learning to run the sprayer. He was always looking to improve, and he was always where he was needed.
Kyle was gentle soul with a stubborn streak, opinionated and witty. He wouldn’t hold back his opinions about politics and current events. He loved big and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed him.
We are so proud of the experiences he had from mountain snowmobiling, house boating and working with his vintage tractor. He always said he hated people but was such a social person.
Friends and family are invited to Kyle’s visitation on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. Family and close friends are invited to the funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
A celebration of Kyle’s life will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 5-9 p.m. at the Army Navy and Air Force Hall, 151 Lorne Ave, East, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Out of the Ashes Large Animal Rescue through the funeral home. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
