Maynard Bauman, age 71, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on June 15, 2024. Born in Kitchener, July 8, 1952, son of the late Leonard and Lovina (Bearinger) Bauman.
Maynard worked at Home Hardware in St. Jacobs for 46 years until his retirement. He was a member of Spotlight Church and loved traveling, trains and tractor pulls.
Beloved husband for 50 years of Martha (Martin). Loving father of Shawn Bauman, Jeanette Brubacher (Merlin). Grandfather of Zackory, Jessica, Cory and Emily and great grandfather of Cameron. Brother of Laverne Bauman (Erla), Marlene Gingerich (Edward), Omar Bauman (Brenda). Brother-in-law of Ada Schmidt (Paul), Amos Martin (Eleanor), Mary Lebold (Ken), Elmer Martin (Ruthanne), Melvin Martin (Sharon), James Martin (Marilyn). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a son Stephen James in infancy.
Visitation for friends and family will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, June 17, from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1p.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery.
