Joyce Elizabeth Atchison, age 71, of Clinton passed away at the Seaforth Community Hospital on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late George Arthur Holden and the former Frances Monteith. Beloved wife of Harvey Atchison. Dear sister of Shirley Spears (David) and Brian Holden (Linda).
Predeceased by her son Neal (1996) and sister Barbara Savile (Keith).
Survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Doris Moore, Marlene Dale, Roxy Hood, Sharon Gallant, Brenda Tidey, Kevin and Rodney Atchison, along with many nieces and nephews.
Joyce worked as a PSW for Huron Health and One Care for twenty-five years, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed a game of golf, cards and pickle ball. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family may gather on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, from 12 – 2 pm at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford where the funeral service will be held at 2 pm followed by a reception in the funeral home reception centre. A private family interment will take place in Avondale Cemetery.
