The St. Marys Lincolns swept a pair of games on the weekend, while the Stratford Warriors earned another split thanks to the Lincolns.
St. Marys got their weekend under way by posting a 3-2 overtime win over the Listowel Cyclones Friday night at home, as Jaden Lee, Owen Voortman and Kyle Morey netting goals in the win. They followed that up by rolling past the Warriors 4-1 Saturday night at the Pyramid Centre. Luca Spagnolo scored twice while Cohen Bidgood and Lee tacked on singles. Carter Petrie had the single goal for Stratford.
The night before, the Warriors topped the visiting Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins 3-1. Quinn Kipfer netted two for Stratford while Joseph Curtin scored once. Chase Furlong made 26 saves in the win.
It was a tough weekend for the Tavistock Braves. On Friday night, Keaton Bartlett scored the lone goal for the Braves in a 3-1 loss to the Paris Mounties. A night later the Braves were steamrolled 11-2 by Norwich. Jacob Reid-Brant and Bo Schurink had goals for the Braves.
The Mitchell Hawks started the weekend off with a big 5-0 shutout against Goderich. Jonathan tenHag scored twice in the win, while Zach McCann, Zach Lawrence, and Nathan Jewitt would add goals in the win. On Sunday, Mitchell fell 5-3 to the visiting Hanover Barons. Nathan Jewitt scored twice for the Hawks while Isaac Nickel added one.
