Winter hours for paid parking take effect this week.
Starting Wednesday, Nov. 1 and running until to March 31, payment is required for any municipal on-street and parking lot paid spaces, Monday to Saturday, excluding holidays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Local lot-rates are $1.25 per hour, for a maximum of four hours, while the on-street parking rates are $1.50 per hour, also for a maximum of four hours.
Free parking for a maximum of 24 hours is available at the Cooper and Downie lots downtown.
