Friday Dec. 1

Chili in a Cup For a Cure 

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The Beer Store (Mitchell)

Chili in a cup for $4. Proceeds to Leukemia research

5 p.m. to 9 p.m. @ Stratford Rotary Complex

Saturday, Dec. 2

Stratford Farmer's Market (year-round)

7 a.m. to Noon at 357 McCarthy Road.

Organized by the Stratford and District Agricultural Society. Indoor market expands to outdoors May to October. Veggies, cheese, meats, baking, flowers, crafts, handmade gifts. Backbacon on a bun and farmer's sausage available via fundraising BBQ.

Santa's Parade of Lights

Starts at 5 p.m. The parade route goes around the Avon River, beginning at Hillcrest Drive and William Street, east along William Street to Lakeside Drive North, across the Festival bridge, west along Lakeside Drive to Tom Patterson Theatre. Santa will be in the last float, expected to arrive at Tom Patterson Theatre at 6 p.m. or thereabouts.
