Truth and Reconciliation events continue at Falstaff Family Centre

Patsy Anne Day, Oneida First Nation elder of the Turtle Clan, gave a Thanksgiving address to begin the Falstaff Family Centre's week of events for Truth and Reconciliation. Events continue over the weekend.

Saturday, Sept. 30

Stratford Farmer's Market

7 a.m. to Noon at 357 McCarthy Road.

Organized by the Stratford and District Agricultural Society. Indoor market expands to outdoors May to October. Vegees, cheese, meats, baking, flowers, crafts, handmade gifts. Backbacon on a bun and farmer's sausage available via fundraising BBQ.

Art in the Park (Saturday and Sunday)

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Tom Patterson Theatre and Festival Theatre. 

Artists are on hand to sell their artworks and discuss their works.

Festival Square Market

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. @ 10 Downie St. Vendors and makers on site. 

Stratford Vintage Market

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Factory 163

SVM is back for a Fall edition. Join 35+ vintage, thrift and upcycle vendors from across Ontario at Factory 163 at 163 King Street in Stratford. All vendor spots are filled. Applications are closed.

Elvis Gospel Memories

2:30 p.m. at 40 Temperance St., Milverton.

Elvis Gospel Memories and Other Hits stars international award-winning entertainer, Roy LeBlanc: two-time champion and long-time host of the Collingwood Elvis Festival; first Canadian to be named “World’s Finest Elvis” at the Elvis Extravaganza in Las Vegas, Nevada; star of the touring sell-out hit musical production, "Blue Suede Shoes" for six consecutive years; and co-star of the North American and Australian touring production, "Sun Records All-Stars."

In support of Zion United Church, Roy LeBlanc brings his hit-filled show, "Elvis Gospel Memories and Other Hits" to the Perth East Recreation Complex for a matinee performance on Oct. 1 at 2:30pm. Performing the inspiring and reverent gospel songs of Elvis Presley among other hits, and backed by The Royal Tribute Band, this is a fundraising concert you won’t want to miss!

Doors at 2 p.m. All ages welcome; Only non-alcoholic refreshments available; Fully accessible; Dance floor open!
