The Stratford Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce its highly anticipated New Year's Celebration concert on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at 3:00pm at Avondale United Church. This special event will ring in the new year with a performance of Johann Strauss II's beloved operetta Die Fledermaus, presented in concert format.
Directed by the esteemed François Racine, the Symphony welcomes a host of prominent Canadian Talent including Maria Soulis, Natalya Gennadi, Maeve Palmer, Ernesto Ramirez, Jorell Williams, and Dion Mazerolle. The Stratford Symphony’s beloved William Rowson will conduct the SSO, bringing the opera to life.
The operetta’s delightful plot, full of mistaken identities, romance, and revelry, is set to Strauss’ signature exuberant music, making it the perfect way to begin the new year. With its infectious charm and rich orchestral textures, Die Fledermaus promises to be a stunning start to 2025.
