Following a successful season of performances, Stratford Summer Music is extending its concert lineup into the fall. This fall concert features local musician Dan Stacey, who will captivate audiences with his unique fusion of traditional fiddle music and electrifying modern rock. Joining him is the talented Kyle Waymouth, a multi-instrumentalist and step-dance champion.

Stacey, a Stratford native, has been mastering fiddle music and step dancing for over 40 years. He is a well-known figure in the local music scene, often performing his vibrant fiddle tunes at local venues and on Stratford Summer Music’s stages. Recently, Stacey branched into a new style that melds rock and grunge influences with the energy of electric fiddle. The video for his pivotal song, I Want My Life Back, was shot locally and reflects frustrations following the pandemic lockdown.

Waymouth, also from Stratford, is an accomplished musician who plays guitar and other instruments. In addition to being a national Ottawa Valley-style step-dance champion, he received a Canadian Folk Music Award in 2023 for his debut album. He has performed around the world, and often shares the stage with his long-time friend Stacey.

“You could say Dan and Kyle are ‘locally brewed’ legends. Naturally we’re excited to extend our season and bring these two musicians together at Jobsite Brewing Company,” said Crystal L. Spicer, Executive Director of Stratford Summer Music. “It will be a wonderful afternoon that connects our folk-loving festival fans to their music in a more relaxed and casual environment.”
